Job Title: Epic Beaker Analyst
Job Type: 3-month Contract
Location: Remote
Travel: 25%; travel 1x/month to Florida
Job Summary:
The Epic Beaker Analyst works directly with the business owners of their assigned support areas to analyze, configure, and develop workflows within Epic Beaker for implementation support. This position also investigates and problems, provides application technical support in the QC/Chemistry, Micro/Microbiology, and Corelab areas of Epic Beaker. This associate supports strategic projects as a crucial member of the project team and can also be asked to investigate and resolve problems, provide application technical support, and training to their customers. This associate will report to the Epic team and Lab Systems Manager.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Understands all aspects of business requirements and their relationship to application requirements.
- Works closely with other IS staff to specify requirements and translate them to well-designed software structures.
- Lead configurations and development of workflows in Epic Beaker.
- Act as subject matter expert in all areas of Beaker, especially in – QC, Micro, and Corelab.
- Uses system tools to develop adhoc queries and reports in response to user requests.
- Communicates results.
- Creates, reviews, and updates documentation on an annual basis for responsible systems.
- Prepares test scenarios and testing schedules.
- Monitors and analyzes performance during testing.
- Develops technical documentation for system support.
- Performs process improvement tasks, conducting studies on complex operational problems, new system requirements.
- Provide both go-live and hyper care support during Epic go-live.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in healthcare information technology is required.
- Epic Beaker certification required.
- Epic implementation and hyper care experience required.
- Configuration and workflow development experience in Epic Beaker required.
- Exposure to Micro/Microbiology environment highly preferred.
- Knowledge in QC, Micro, and Corelab configurations and workflows highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience in a relevant field may be substituted at director’s discretion.
- Ability to work effectively with team members and the user community.
- Expertise in business and systems analysis and design in a technical environment.
- Ability to work and maintain composure in an often-stressful environments.
