Job Title:  Cloud DevOps Engineer- AWS
Location:  Remote
Job-Type:  1 yr Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: $75-85/hr
Referral Fee: $2,000-2,500
Employment Eligibility:  We cannot support visa sponsorship on Corp to Corp 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and monitor scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS.

  • Automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation/CDK, Pulumi, etc.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency.

  • Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (ECS/EKS preferred).

  • Ensure compliance with security best practices, including IAM roles, policies, and network configurations.

  • Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.

  • Collaborate with developers to streamline application development and deployment processes.

  • Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.

  • Stay updated with AWS services, industry trends, and best practices to enhance infrastructure management.

 
Qualifications

  • 5+ years in collaborative DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles with significant exposure to AWS, container workloads, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Proven track record of modernizing legacy applications in a cloud environment, as well as building cloud-native applications.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, VPC, etc.)

  • Proficiency in containerization tools and container orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, etc.).

  • Strong scripting abilities (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, or similar).

  • Strong coding and testing abilities in both Python and TypeScript. (Requirement)

  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and practices (Trivy, Docker Scout, etc.)

Certifications (preferred):

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Professional

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer- Professional
