Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Arlington, VA (HQ) and DC (Client)
Security Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI (TSC/SCI) Clearance or ability to obtain clearance Required
Job Summary:
A growing midmarket Defense Contract is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee critical projects that support national security programs initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a proven track record of managing complex projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities-
- Plan, execute, and manage projects aligned with DHS objectives, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including government officials, contractors, and stakeholders, to define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, security protocols, and DHS policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team.
Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/SCI (TSC/SCI) clearance is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, preferably within the federal government or national security sector.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of DHS operations, policies, and mission objectives a large plus
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing classified projects or programs.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of internal controls and compliance specific to Federal Defense agencies (ex. OMB-123).
