Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join a fast-paced enterprise IT team undergoing major modernization and integration efforts. The ideal candidate will have deep SAP ECC experience and a strong background in ABAP development, particularly in supporting high-volume data flows, EDI/API integrations, and collaboration with middleware and SQL systems.
This is a hands-on role—perfect for someone who thrives in a highly integrated environment and wants to work on impactful enterprise solutions across order management and logistics platforms.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain custom SAP ABAP programs, especially those supporting EDI/API (SOAP/REST) integrations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and other developers to support order updates and channel integrations via middleware.
• Assist in integrating SAP ECC with third-party platforms such as customer portals, tax systems, and EDI tools.
• Work alongside SQL developers to optimize data flow between SAP and backend databases.
• Participate in agile development sprints, including requirements gathering, coding, and deployment support.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across OTC (Order to Cash) and WM (Warehouse Management) functional areas.

Top Technical Skills & Requirements:

• SAP ECC: 6+ years of experience
• ABAP Development: 6+ years of hands-on development experience
• EDI/API Integration (SOAP/REST): Proven experience in designing or supporting API-based communications
• Middleware Integration Experience: Strong knowledge of data communication and transformation processes

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to S/4HANA migrations or preparation is a plus
• Experience working with high-volume transaction systems (e.g., processing millions of data points/month)
• Familiarity with third-party logistics tools such as FedEx, UPS, or transportation systems like Artic
• Functional understanding of OTC and WM modules
