Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst, Web Analytics reports directly to the Manager, Data Analytics and is responsible for collecting and interpreting web behavioral data, building dashboards, and presenting findings to stakeholders. This role will establish best practices for analytics processes, act as a subject matter expert, influence key decisions with data-driven insights, as well as recommend and implement strategies that enable the company to become a digital disruptor. The Senior Analyst, Web Analytics plays a critical part in shaping data-driven strategies, enabling the organization to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve competitive differentiation. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced web analytics strategies to track and interpret complex user behaviors across all web properties.

  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards, visualizations, and reports tailored to diverse audiences, including senior executives.

  • Minimize implementation costs of web behavioral data collection and processing efforts.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and align analytics efforts with business objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and product teams to embed insights into production pipelines and strategic initiatives.

  • Identify and lead opportunities for automation, optimization, and innovation in analytics processes.

  • Drive cross-departmental collaboration to align marketing, product, and engineering efforts around data insights.

  • Assist with creating the data infrastructure and analytics environments.

  • Lead and mentor junior analysts, fostering their growth in data analysis, visualization, and data collection practices while ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.

  • Participate in the DevOps practice as it pertains to the data team.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a combination of a high school diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of relevant work experience.

  • At least three (3) years of experience in an analyst role.

  • Expertise with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Snowplow.

  • Expertise with tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager or Signal.

  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and HTML for implementing and optimizing analytics tags and tracking mechanisms.

  • Proficiency in Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.

  • Extensive knowledge of SQL for structured and unstructured data.

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, SaaS, and IaaS platforms.

  • Solid understanding of software engineering environments and standards.

  • Experience managing service level agreements (SLAs) and working across organizational levels.

  • Availability for occasional overnight travel (10%).

  • Ability to pass a ten (10) year background check.

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.


Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experience in technology roles.

  • Google Analytics Individual Qualification.

  • Experience maintaining a public professional profile and building internal relationships.

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to implement analytics strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Proven ability to present complex data insights effectively to executive stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.

  • Proficient understanding of user experience (UX) concepts.

  • Proficient in web application systems design.

  • Deep expertise in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and advanced analytics techniques.

  • Experience writing software in languages such as Java, Python, Go, and/or JavaScript.

  • Experience architecting and developing software or internet-scale production-grade Big Data solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
